This watercolor study offers a rare, autobiographical glimpse into the administrative heart of P. Pleasant’s own Atelier. The antique wooden card catalogue depicted here serves as the master index for the Windom neighborhood of South Minneapolis—the very enclave where P. ultimately anchored her physical studio. Each brass-labeled drawer corresponds to a local avenue (ranging from Wentworth and Blaisdell to Harriet, Garfield, and her own namesake, Pleasant), containing highly classified records of the specific magical occurrences, fairy migrations, and historical anomalies found on that exact street. The prominently displayed "Windom" index card stands as a charming, dryly bureaucratic monument to the neighborhood that so graciously tolerates the Atelier's endless influx of enchanted artifacts and hidden residents.
