Mortal Formalities (Frequently Asked Questions)

Below is a ledger of the most common inquiries we receive from the human realm. If your specific conundrum isn't addressed here, don't hesitate to send us a missive!

How frequently does P release new curios?

True magic cannot be rushed, but P. is quite prolific. New miniature masterpieces are added to our digital storefront regularly! If you can't find the precise piece you seek, you might be a candidate for a custom commission. Send us a missive to start this clandestine process. Please note, we strictly limit the number of custom projects we accept at any given time, so reach out swiftly if you require something unique!

Is my digital transaction secure?

Profoundly so. While we prefer barter via moonstones, we have fortified this site with a 256-bit SSL certificate (the human equivalent of a dragon-warded vault). We do not store your financial details, nor would we ever sell your information to a third party. Your data is used solely to ensure your parcel reaches your doorstep.

Do you dispatch parcels beyond the United States?

Not yet, mere mortals. While magic itself knows no borders, the current state of international human shipping is a bureaucratic quagmire of customs forms, duties, and logistics that we are simply not prepared to navigate from the attic rafters.

For the moment, our terrestrial shipping operations are strictly confined to the United States. However, we have hired a very bright elf who specializes in these mortal restrictions. We highly recommend checking back with this ledger periodically, as we fully expect to expand our shipping coordinates to international confidantes once we have properly untangled the logistics.

Can you disguise my curio as a gift?

We are quite adept at surreptitious presentation. Gift wrapping is available and priced upon request. Please send a missive before you finalize your acquisition so we may prepare the proper wrapping.

Are these tiny masterpieces available in local shops?

While our primary operations remain hidden in the Upright Burrow's attic, our network of perceptive confidantes is expanding! If you are a retailer interested in stocking our rare goods, please contact us for wholesale information.

What is the timeline for personalized and custom acquisitions?

Patience is a virtue, but here is how our timeline functions:

  • For Personalized Curios: It is imperative that you provide an active email address so we can reach you if questions arise. Unframed personalized art typically ships in 1–2 weeks. Framed personalized art (which are made to order by P herself) demands 2–3 weeks. Unless we have a specific question, you will not receive a proof prior to printing, so please ensure your spelling is exquisitely correct before submitting!

  • For Custom Artifacts: The custom design process is a much more comprehensive and delicate ritual. It depends entirely upon the scope of your project. Please contact us directly to discuss your vision.

How soon should I contact you about a custom commission?

Immediately. All bespoke work is crafted on a strict, first-come, first-served basis. Because P's work requires an infinitesimal level of detail and quite a bit of time, we can only accept a limited number of these requests annually. While we will make every effort to accommodate your timelines, our schedule is dictated by our current queue—so the sooner you reach out, the better!

Where do I deposit the wording for my personalized art?

Please leave your text in the "Notes" section during the digital checkout ritual. For more involved custom projects, we will send you a direct missive, to which you may reply with your reference imagery and details. A Gentle Warning: Should you realize you misspelled something after placing your order, contact us immediately. We will try to intervene, but once an item is submitted to print, the ink is entirely immutable and cannot be changed!

Is P. Pleasant a real, immortal being? / Are these stories true?

The artwork you receive is very real, beautifully crafted, and physically produced in our Minneapolis studio! However, the lore, letters, and history of P. Pleasant, Bleeker, and their magical world are part of an ongoing, fictional storytelling project. We invite you to suspend your disbelief and enjoy the magic of the narrative as an extension of the art itself.

Did P Pleasant created the mounting materials provided with the framed artworks?

She did not. Due to the inability of humans to manipulate gossamer and pixie dust, we needed to resort to human-made mounting substrates. And here comes the boring legalese...

Provided installation materials (manufactured by Gorilla® Glue and 3M™) and instructions are for the owner’s convenience and are provided "as is." These materials may not be appropriate for all wall types or applications.
P. Pleasant LLC is not affiliated with or sponsored by these manufacturers and is not responsible for any damage to artwork, property, or surfaces sustained during or after installation. Do not use these materials for applications where property damage or injury could result if the mounted item fell.

Furthermore, P. Pleasant LLC accepts no liability for any injuries, adverse health effects, or damages resulting from the unauthorized handling, misuse, or accidental consumption of installation materials by minors or underage individuals. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure all components are stored safely away from children. Additionally, while certain materials are recommended to deter vandalism, P. Pleasant LLC is not liable for any artwork that is stolen, lost, or damaged by third parties once installed in public or outdoor spaces.

Important Surface Warnings: The "Permanent" installation methods are designed to create an aggressive, lasting bond. Removal may result in damage to the underlying surface (including pulling paint, drywall paper, tree bark, or finishes off delicate/antique objects). The Permanent options are not recommended for use on freshly painted walls, delicate surfaces, or flocked wallpaper. The Gorilla® Mounting Putty provided for "Temporary" installation may stain some porous surfaces. Avoid putting it in direct exposure to water. Store all unused materials in a cool, dry place.

Please visit the respective manufacturer websites (Gorilla® Mounting Putty and Gorilla® Clear Invisible Hold Mounting Squares, and 3M™ Scotchfil™ Electrical Insulation Putty) for full product guidelines and specific removal instructions.

...PHEW! So glad that's over. Back to the joy and whimsy.
