This signed, original fine art print of P’s painting serves as an open invitation to frame and spark whimsy exactly as you see fit.

P’s composition is printed at its original, tiny size on 5 x 7" (12.7 x 17.8 cm) on museum-quality, textured paper with professional-quality dye & pigment ink.

P's Inspiration

This vibrant botanical study was prompted by an 1888 afternoon tea with Beatrix Potter, during which the two argued extensively over the emotional temperament of local Wood-Pixies. To settle the debate, P spent hours suspended directly beneath a dew-drenched bleeding heart bush to observe the creatures' nesting habits firsthand. It stands as a beautiful testament to her unwavering—if slightly intense—devotion to empirical field research.

While P. Pleasant's art is famously tiny, these unframed fine art prints are rendered on museum-quality 5 x 7" (12.7 x 17.8 cm) paper with specialized photographic dye & pigment ink. Third-party research suggests that this material combination with standard framing will keep your composition bright and crisp for almost a century!

The artwork itself remains at its original, miniature scale, surrounded by elegant natural white space. We do this to make framing incredibly easy for you in the human world—simply find a standard frame you love, and it will fit perfectly without causing a profound geometrical headache. Learn more by visiting our Enchantments & Materials Treatise.

Note: Due to the handmade nature of these prints, the paper size can vary 1/8 of an inch (3.5mm).

Even though you are providing your own frame, we implore you to remember our golden rule: magic lives in the unexpected. Hang this piece at the eye-level of a corgi, tuck it behind a teapot, or hide it “in plain sight” among a salon-style gallery wall of framed artworks or photographs. Create a little magic for someone else to find.

Please allow up to 5 business days for our studio team to ensure your artwork is up to our impossibly high standards and packed safely before we set it upon its journey to its destination.

We take the utmost care in preparing your unframed print for shipment, all but ensuring it arrives in pristine condition. For more information, venture over to our Shipping Policy.
